Package: gnome-do Version: 0.8.4-1 Severity: serious gnome-do recently started leaking memory very rapidly on my machine. On one occasion it reached 14GB (RSS) before being killed by the oom-killer.
After disabling all my plugins one by one, I found that this is caused by the "Files and Folders" plugin. Starting with --debug in the affected configuration shows one instance of the following error message every time I move the mouse over the gnome-do window: | [Error 21:21:25.735] [PluginManager] ObjectsForAddin encountered an error: TargetInvocationException "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." | [Debug 21:21:25.735] [PluginManager] at System.Reflection.MonoCMethod.Invoke (System.Object obj, BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 | at System.Reflection.MonoCMethod.Invoke (BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 | at System.Reflection.ConstructorInfo.Invoke (System.Object[] parameters) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 | at System.Activator.CreateInstance (System.Type type, Boolean nonPublic) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 | at System.Activator.CreateInstance (System.Type type) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 | at Mono.Addins.TypeExtensionNode.CreateInstance () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 | at Mono.Addins.InstanceExtensionNode.GetInstance () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 | at Do.Core.PluginManager+<ObjectsForAddin>c__Iterator1`1[Do.Universe.ItemSource].MoveNext () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 After disabling "Files and Folders" this message doesn't appear anymore, and memory usage remains stable.
