Please use audioscale and audioconvert in your pipeline: gst-launch-0.8 gnomevfssrc location=/path/to/my/musicfile.ogg ! \ spider ! volume ! audioscale ! audioconvert ! alsasink If you still reproduce, please try with "! alsasink device=hw:0" instead.
