Please read the followup mails on the upstream mailing list which says the patch is in need of more work..... Also, the patch comes from the upstream mailing list.... Asking me to forward it upstream sounds kind of crazy to me.... There's no reason for me to patch the debian package, this should be fixed upstream first.
