My system is Debian Wheezy, kernel 2.6.37-2-amd64 (pulled from unstable), GNOME, NVidia drivers 260.19.44-1 on a Thinkpad W510 laptop with Intel Quad Core Processor i7 720QM, NVidia Quadro FX 880M and 8GB RAM.
Using alt-tab to switch between apps takes at least 3secs and appears to get worse with time (although this may be subjective). Gnome is currently unusable.
