I don't really see the advantage. The maintainers of the dependant packages are (hopefully) already aware of the transition, why the need to push them? Are you worried that new packages pick db4.7 by accident? I see at least memcachedb, radiusd-livingston, drac, squidguard, and nvi now FTBFS.
