gnumeric 1.4.x (part of sarge) includes a copy of the pcre library in
src/cut-n-paste-code/goffice/cut-n-paste/pcre
gnumeric 1.5.x (part of etch and sid) no longer includes such a copy;
instead it relies on the goffice library which has it in
goffice/cut-n-paste/pcre
