Package: icedove Version: 3.0.11-1+squeeze1 i just had an email that has two attachments. message size as reported in SMTP traffic was roughly about a megabyte. i tried to send it by smtp the usual way. i tried to restart icedove and each time it behaved exactly the same way. unfortunately i erased that message now. this is what happened:
sending the message starts and the progress meter stops at 99%. when running wireshark and analyzing the TCP traffic, i see that at the end of the message, icedove sends "CR LF ." but then does not send another "CR LF" as requested by the server. for that reason the server waits for more data to come. some time later icedove stops with smtp timeout. there must be a bug in icedove that makes it stop after the "CR LF ." and not send the additional "CR LF" after that. i'm sorry i cannot give more debugging information here. when analyzing TCP traffic of working SMTP sends from icedove it always sends CR LF . CR LF and then the server responds as expected. cu erik -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
