Since xcb-util 0.3.8 (whose package is currently sitting in NEW), atoms which used to be in xcb-atom have been removed because they were deprecated in favor of xcb-proto. Moreover, xcb-util 0.3.8 merges libxcb-event, libxcb-aux and libxcb-atom into a single library, libxcb-util. startup-notification 0.11, which has been released recently, fixes these issues. I have prepared a patch to package this new release. Could you please apply it and upload the package? I can also NMU if you want.
