Package: alsa-utils Version: 1.0.23-5+b1 Severity: important i have an asus xonar dx2 sound card. in times past the snd-virtuoso driver was loaded automatically at boot. for some reason it now isnt.
if i load it manually, everything works fine. i suspect it may be related to the pci-id being in both the snd-virtuoso snd-oxygen drivers. although banning snd-oxygen doesnt help im scratching my head wondering what could be going on? if i boot back a kernel or two, i get nothing now as well - which leads me to suspect a problem in the alsa-utils (or related packages) -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages alsa-utils depends on: ii dialog 1.1-20110302-1 Displays user-friendly dialog boxe ii libasound2 1.0.23-4 shared library for ALSA applicatio ii libc6 2.13-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libncursesw5 5.9-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii linux-sound-base 1.0.23+dfsg-4 base package for ALSA and OSS soun ii lsb-base 3.2-27 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii module-init-tools 3.12-1 tools for managing Linux kernel mo ii udev 168-2 /dev/ and hotplug management daemo ii whiptail 0.52.11-2 Displays user-friendly dialog boxe Versions of packages alsa-utils recommends: ii alsa-base 1.0.23+dfsg-4 ALSA driver configuration files ii pciutils 1:3.1.7-9 Linux PCI Utilities alsa-utils suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
