As Philippe Teuwen, I'm having exactly the same problems.
The template files are not in yet in package 'syslinux-themes-debian-9-1'.
By the way, I've been looking for the VCS for this package
(syslinux-themes-debian), which is supposed to be this [1], but I
haven't been able. Could you tell me if it's in any place?
