Package: gnome-power-manager Version: 2.32.0-2 Followup-For: Bug #627741 It seems that I lied previously. When it actually loses the battery history and statistics is when it runs the low battery command, suspend. This occurred just now; it ran low (which it really didn't, but that's another issue) and so decided to suspend. When I brought it back up, the history and statistics were reset, and there was another "laptop battery" selection available in the left pane, which looks like an empty battery with a white cross in a red square.
Clicking on it crashes gnome-power-statistics instantly, with the following message in console: ** ERROR:gpm-upower.c:656:gpm_device_state_to_localised_string: code should not be reached Aborted -- Package-specific info: Distro version: wheezy/sid Kernel version: 2.6.38-2-686 g-p-m version: 2.32.0 HAL version: 0.5.14 System manufacturer: missing System version: missing System product: missing AC adapter present: yes Battery present: yes Laptop panel present: yes CPU scaling present: yes Battery Information: battery.present = false (bool) battery.type = 'primary' (string) battery.charge_level.current = 0 (0x0) (int) battery.charge_level.design = 33011 (0x80f3) (int) battery.charge_level.last_full = 33011 (0x80f3) (int) battery.charge_level.percentage = 0 (0x0) (int) battery.charge_level.rate = 20292 (0x4f44) (int) battery.is_rechargeable = true (bool) battery.model = 'Primary' (string) battery.present = true (bool) battery.rechargeable.is_charging = false (bool) battery.rechargeable.is_discharging = true (bool) battery.reporting.current = 0 (0x0) (int) battery.reporting.design = 3239 (0xca7) (int) battery.reporting.last_full = 3239 (0xca7) (int) battery.reporting.rate = 1991 (0x7c7) (int) battery.reporting.technology = 'Li-ion' (string) battery.reporting.unit = 'mAh' (string) battery.serial = '11633 2006/11/26' (string) battery.technology = 'lithium-ion' (string) battery.type = 'primary' (string) battery.vendor = 'Hewlett-Packard' (string) battery.voltage.current = 10192 (0x27d0) (int) battery.voltage.design = 10800 (0x2a30) (int) battery.voltage.unit = 'mV' (string) UPower data: Device: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/line_power_C1B2 native-path: /sys/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/device:00/ACPI0003:00/power_supply/C1B2 power supply: yes updated: Thu May 26 11:34:57 2011 (127 seconds ago) has history: no has statistics: no line-power online: no Device: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_C1B4 native-path: /sys/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/device:00/PNP0C0A:00/power_supply/C1B4 vendor: Hewlett-Packard model: Primary serial: 11633 2006/11/26 power supply: yes updated: Thu May 26 11:37:03 2011 (1 seconds ago) has history: yes has statistics: yes battery present: yes rechargeable: yes state: discharging energy: 0 Wh energy-empty: 0 Wh energy-full: 34.9812 Wh energy-full-design: 34.9812 Wh energy-rate: 0 W voltage: 10.192 V percentage: 0% capacity: 100% technology: lithium-ion History (charge): 1306373712 0.000 discharging History (rate): 1306373712 0.000 discharging Device: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_C1B3 native-path: /sys/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/device:00/PNP0C0A:01/power_supply/C1B3 power supply: no updated: Thu May 26 11:36:50 2011 (14 seconds ago) has history: no has statistics: no battery present: no rechargeable: no state: unknown energy: 0 Wh energy-empty: 0 Wh energy-full: 0 Wh energy-full-design: 0 Wh energy-rate: 0 W percentage: 0% Daemon: daemon-version: 0.9.10 can-suspend: yes can-hibernate yes on-battery: yes on-low-battery: yes lid-is-closed: no lid-is-present: yes is-docked: no GNOME Power Manager Process Information: HAL Process Information: 107 25176 27.0 0.4 15492 4712 ?
