Package: etckeeper Version: 0.52ubuntu1 Severity: minor >From a default install, I get cron errors like this:
/etc/cron.daily/etckeeper: bzr: ERROR: Unable to determine your name. Please, set your name with the 'whoami' command. E.g. bzr whoami "Your Name <n...@example.com> It is unclear to me whether this is an etckeeper or a packaging error, but it does seem erroneous, as nowhere during installation was I prompted for a name or given any warning about this. As far as I can see there’s been nothing affecting this issue in more recent releases. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers natty-updates APT policy: (500, 'natty-updates'), (500, 'natty-security'), (500, 'natty') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages etckeeper depends on: ii bzr 2.3.1-1ubuntu1 easy to use distributed version co ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.36ubuntu4 Debian configuration management sy ii git [git-core] 1:1.7.4.1-3 fast, scalable, distributed revisi ii git-core 1:1.7.4.1-3 fast, scalable, distributed revisi ii mercurial 1.7.5-1ubuntu1 scalable distributed version contr Versions of packages etckeeper recommends: ii cron 3.0pl1-116ubuntu1 process scheduling daemon Versions of packages etckeeper suggests: ii sudo 1.7.4p4-5ubuntu7 Provide limited super user privile -- debconf information: etckeeper/commit_failed: etckeeper/purge: true -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
