They will be gone from either sid or etch, once the m68k buildd finished building 2.6.12-6 and we move these packages to etch, as well as any remnant of the older kernel packages. If all goes well, that is. > And the description for kernel-image-2.6-686 states: > > "This package will always depend on the latest 2.6 kernel image available > for Pentium Pro/Celeron/Pentium II/Pentium III/Pentium 4." > > And, again, this package has not been removed from testing or unstable: > > Available versions: Stable 2.6.8-16 Testing 2.6.8-16 Unstable 2.6.8-16 Sure, these are just cruft that need to go, and will be any day now. Please get linux-image-2.6-686 or whatever, which provide those (provided we did not drop or rename the 686 flavour or something). notice that given the choice between a provide and a real package, apt will use the real package and more so if it is already installed. This will thus change once these crufts are kicked out of etch/sid. Friendly, Sven Luther -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
