The package is ready and waiting for a sponsored upload at mentors.debian.net [0]. A binary package is also available, if you wan you can test it using upstream unofficial debian package repository. You'll find instructions on the upstream forge [1]. The default action is to launch mpd-sima as a daemon (init script, running under special user mpd-sima).
