Package: aptitude Version: 0.6.3-3.2 Severity: minor
This works: mattcen@tony:tmp$ sudo aptitude unmarkauto ~i && sudo aptitude --schedule-only markauto ~E '~i!~M(~Rdepends:~i|~Rrecommends:~i)' && sudo aptitude keep $(aptitude search ~aremove -F %p) This doesn't: mattcen@tony:tmp$ sudo aptitude unmarkauto ~i && sudo aptitude --schedule-only markauto ~E '~i!~M(~Rdepends:~i|~Rrecommends:~i)' && sudo aptitude keep ~aremove The difference in the above commands (in case it's not obvious) is the last 'aptitude keep'. In the former I explicitly pass 'keep' the list of packages to keep, pulled from an 'aptitude search', whereas in the latter, I try to keep based on a search expression. This *did* used to work on Lenny, but doesn't on Squeeze. -- Package-specific info: aptitude 0.6.3 compiled at Oct 16 2010 18:18:04 Compiler: g++ 4.4.5 Compiled against: apt version 4.10.1 NCurses version 5.7 libsigc++ version: 2.2.4.2 Ept support enabled.
