Hi, I may be barking up the wrong tree, but I found out the following:
* in KDE4 miro4 only starts up from Autostart, quitting it and starting it from kmenu or the shell segfaults every time * after installing gnome-desktop I can start and quit miro4 in Gnome as often as I like So maybe it is a race condition of something loaded after miro in kde, but I started all software that runs in kde (amarok, sylpheed, skype, opera) in gnome and miro still worked.
