Installed scim to type in kannada, tried to quit scim but it always spwaned back, even force quit did not help. Decided to remove scim package along with the dependencies, after reboot and after entering the login details in gdm login screen, the session automatically logs out whithout displaying the desktop, you just get a blank screen. Only by reinstalling and purging the im-config screen, I was able to get my desktop back. This bug has been reported by some other user. PS- This is my first bug report.
