Hello

It is surprising that this is not working since for most photo programs if 
works similarly.

OK. let me explain it. A layer has a given size X and Y. Right.

So if you select in it using V to move, then you shall select it right? Even if 
there is some 0 or 100% transparency. 

Please fix that bug or miss in the code, that's really not easy to work if you 
do not enable this. Check other high excellent pic photo software
