Hello! I completely fail to see why http://bugs.debian.org/586327 has ANYTHING to do with iproute.... What do you want me to investigate?
If your program fails to bind to a port, that's between your program and the kernel..... no network administration tool is involved there. The bug reporter even mentioning using netstat (part of net-tools!) for troubleshooting rather then using iproute commands..... Please also notify the package maintainers when you reassign a bug to someone else otherwise it might go unnoticed for a long time.... Unless you can inform me on what you want me to investigate, I'll be reassigning this back to postgrey....
