It is a regression, I recently noticed this issue after an update some time back (maybe a month or two) when I my mouse wasnt being detected in the KDE automatic touchpad control, in the past my mouse was detected and I was able to have my touchpad disabled whenever my mouse was plugged in, but now it is no longer detected and the mouse shows up as a joystick under Input in KDE system settings "Microsoft Microsoft® Nano Transceiver v2.0 (/dev/input/js0)"
