Indeed, on wheezy (live-build-3.0~a21-1) grub target is built without problem.

On squeeze (live-build-2.0.12-2) "grub" bootloader doesn't work, a target with "grub2" bootloader is built successfully (though grub2 is not in the list of the supported targets according to the manual).
