Yes, the problem here is that "ip link show" provides information of both the interface and the underlying (physical) interface. These errors should be prevented in the script, however. I have a fix ready and commited to the GIT repository and will upload as soon as I'm able. The fix will be targeted at unstable. I will let you know so you can retrieve it from the archive and test the package out (should be installable in stable without any issues).
