Package: samba
Version: 3.0.14a-3
Followup-For: Bug #220596

I was seeing the same problems mounting shares from a Win2K server. Not
necessarily restrained to directories with large amounts of files but
also directories nested deep within directories where the total amount
of files in the tree got to be very large. At a certain point the files
would stop showing up in 'ls' though oddly enough the bash prompt
completion would show those files -- but after a 'cd' into the directory
the files would be gone. Fixed this problem by adding ttl=10000 to my
mount options. Now all the files are showing up properly.
