Package: reportbug
Version: 6.2

Hi!

For the first ever, today I got the following error message from my SMTP server when attempting to use reportbug:

Submit this report on lyx (e to edit) [Y|n|a|c|e|i|l|m|p|q|d|t|s|?]?
Connecting to smtp.uio.no via SMTP...
Enter SMTP password for t...@smtp.uio.no:
SMTP send failure: (550, 'This mail system requires all address headers to be\ncompliant with RFC 2822. For more information, see\nhttp://www.uio.no/tjenester/it/e-post-kalender/e-post/mer-
om/problems.html#headers'). Do you want to retry (or else save the report and
exit)?

Retrying did not help. Therefore I'm no longer able to use reportbug for bug reporting. I'm composing this report directly from icedove. Im using a completely updated Debian Sid system. Linux kernel is version 3.0.4.

A few days ago I did not have this problem. However, I don't know if reportbug or the SMTP server changed since then.

I now include (between the lines "*******") the whole bug report email that triggered the error, a follow-up report for a bug report on lyx (I used 'reportbug --paranoid' to get this). So the question is, what part of this is not RFC 2822 compliant?:

FWIW, I could not reproduce a crash in lyx 2.0.0-1
