I got a direct mail about this issue from niekt0. I forward here.

------------------------------------------------------------------
I am using mlterm version 3.0.6 ( from debian wheezy)
I found
http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org/msg938406.html
but somehow I am not able to reply directly to mailinglist.

So:
I don't think it is issue of screen.
version 3.0.6 seem to be quite unstable in all situations.

For example opem /var/log/messages in vim, a keep holding PGDN keyborad.
Sometimes mlterm segfaults, sometimes just crash in other way.
This is what I took with gdb (described scenario).

(gdb) continue
Continuing.

Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted.
