It seems the issue of libtext-charwidth-perl, the mblen from Text::CharWidth always returns bad value.
When upgrading from squeeze, it always return 4294967297. After upgraded to wheezy (with some tricks[1][2]) the problem is gone. [1] http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1116926-Error-when-trying-to-dist-upgrade [2] debconf also dead when upgrading from squeeze to wheezy/sid, stops at _db_internal_line in confmodule at every db_* commands.
