Package: lilo Version: 1:23.2-2 Arch: i386
After a normal wheezy i386 installation, the system don't starts at very first boot. The system says not disk partitions found and halt with a kernel panic... After find for a cause i conclude: - The kernel is loaded, but not the initrd stuff is not, so the disk controller driver module is not loaded and the disk is not found.... - The line "initrd=/initrd.img is missing in the lilo.conf. - Bootting in rescue mode, adding the missing line in lilo.conf and executing lilo, repair the problem: the sys will boot ok after reboot... Some notes: - I suspect some similar stuff occur with grub: i attempt reinstall the system using grub instead lilo and the same problem appears: but i don't watch for errors in grub configuration file. - Same error appears with both 2.x and 3.x kernels versions. - I probe installing the system in two different motherboards, with deferents disks controllers and the problem persists. Never the less, both of them have IDE controllers.... Regards -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
