Dear Maintainer,

When I try to use curl to connect to an https website, it doesn't work:

$ curl https://encrypted.google.com
curl: (1) Protocol https not supported or disabled in libcurl

Unencrypted http websites work fine:

$ curl http://www.google.com/
<!doctype html><html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;
charset=ISO-8859-1"><meta name="description" content="Search the world&#39;s
info ... etc
