Hey, thanks for reply. I've been meaning to report this bug for ages, and now I get round to it I can't replicate it, even though it's been a consistant problem for a while.
Thanks for the hint about locales (which I confess that I really don't understand), will try faffing with that next time I get a problem, then report back. Sorry for dud bug report!
