The coming deprecation of /etc/hotplug/usb presents an opportunity to change the group that libgphoto2 uses to regulate access, camera, to the more general plugdev group, already used by USB sticks and sundry other USB pluggable devices. I don't think it provides a benefit to use a separate group just for cameras. Ubuntu seems to agree, since they use the plugdev group for cameras as well. This simplifies setup for users, since the Debian installer by default adds the first user to the plugdev group. Thanks, Christopher Martin
