||
|| For some reason, I often find that I am not allowed to move
|| ace-of-penguins windows out of the corner of the scren in which they
|| start. This happens often but not always, and I haven't been able to
|| discren any pattern. My window manager is metacity. Attached is a
|| screenshot showing the 'Move' option in the window menu disabled.
||
|| I'd blame this on the window manager, but I've never seen this problem
|| with any application other than the ace-of-penguins games, so maybe a
|| wrong hint is being set somewhere? I don't fully understand how these
|| things work.
||
|| If I can further assist in debugging, please let me know.

| I had the same problem with Ace of Penguins version 1.3 on Mandriva
| (x86_64 architecture) even when I have compiled the program from
| source. However weird it seems, this problem disappeared when I
| compiled the program for 32-bit environment, although it uses the same
| versions of all of the required libraries (indeed though their 32-bit
| versions).
|
| So, I simply suggest to download the source code and build it. Once I
| had all libraries and headers also for 32-bit, this configure command
| worked fine for me:
|
| CFLAGS=-m32 ./configure --host=x86-unknown-linux-gnu
| --build=x86-unknown-linux-gnu
|
| Now it works how it should and I can move with windows of all of the
| games. Good luck also for others.

Unfortunately it is not a solution to arrange a 32 bit build structure when
the system itself if 64 if I understand it right. The problem must be
somewhere in the 64.

DJ, Would you have any ideas?

Jari
