Package: e2fsprogs
Version: 1.42~WIP-2011-10-05-1
Severity: important

fsck.ext4 fails with error: "fsck.ext4: symbol lookup error: fsck.ext4:
undefined symbol: set_com_err_gettext". Since this happens on the root
fsck at boot, the system is left in maintenance mode.

The error dos not occur with e2fsprogs 1.42~WIP-2011-09-25-1 in
combination with libcomerr2 1.42~WIP-2011-07-02-01 (tested).

The error is solved by upgrading libcomerr2 to version
1.42~WIP-2011-10-05-1, so I suppose this should be changed in the
package requirements (tested).

(I normally install packages from the testing distribution, but the
e2fsprogs 1.42~WIP-2011-07-02-1 packages gives troubles in combination
with dump/restore (for which a bug report is submitted and which is
solved in the later e2fsprogs packages).
