Package: rss2email
Version: 1:2.65-1
Severity: important

on a brand new install of debian, I attempted to run r2e. I get the
following output:

luke@gabriel:~$ r2e run
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/rss2email/rss2email.py", line 748, in <module>
    else: run()
  File "/usr/share/rss2email/rss2email.py", line 488, in run
    feeds, feedfileObject = load()
  File "/usr/share/rss2email/rss2email.py", line 445, in load
    fcntl.flock(feedfileObject.fileno(), locktype)
IOError: [Errno 38] Function not implemented
luke@gabriel:~$

This error renders the package unusable for me, I suspect because it ought to
depend on some additional python packages, and that I have not installed the
right one(s).

I am not much of a python programmer though, so I am having trouble debugging
this issue. I originally did not have the python-lockfile package, which
google indicated is what provides the flock() functions, so I installed that,
but it did not fix the issue. I also tried installing python 2.5, and manually
calling rss2email.py with that version of python instead, no luck.

Some help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Luke
