Sorry, I was unclear.

autoreconf.{before|after} files exist in both .tbz archives and come
from the build process (this is really how they are named).

Now if you diff broken/autoreconf.before vs. working/autoreconf.before
(not autoreconf.before vs autoreconf.after), and similarly for
autoreconf.after, then you'll see the differences I was talking about.
