This is still annoying me, but I agree with Mike that changes may
break the reverse dependencies.

of xulrunner is no more supported by recent conkeror versions.

Hrm. You've got some point. I thought about this, too, but came to a
different conclusion. But after reading your arguments, I can't
remember anymore how I came to that conclusion. :-)

P.S.: I plan to upload a new package to unstable as soon as upstream
decides to declare a commit as 1.0 alpha to avoid the double tilde in
the 1.0~~pre version number currently used in the nightly .debs.
