Package: reportbug Version: 6.3 Severity: normal
I have reportbug configured to work with my remote SMTP account. All works fine when sending reports, but I managed to notice a problem when the first connection attempt fails. If the second attempt succeeds, then reportbug sends two mails instead of one to the BTS. Worse, the BTS even assigns differrent numbers, treating them as separate issues. The living example of this failure is located at #649433 - #649434, exactly the situation described here. I don't know, but I suppose if there are two unsuccessful attempts, the third may send three reports? I have no idea how to figure this out. Let me know if you need more details. NOTE: I didn't know in the first place if this should be filed against reportbug or the BTS, but since this is the place where it all begins, this would make a decent start.
