Things are going downhill rapidly. I decided to skip the On-Disk "DVD" and
do an internet installation, but can't get the small version to download to
a CD. If I transfer it from hard-disc "downloads" the resulting CD won't
do the boot. Now I can't get anything but my last (invalid) installation.
How do I get your download to write directly to my empty CD-r???

Also, I can't install Chrome. It bombs off because it can't find libcurl3
during debian installation. And it's right -- I have on disc lots of
libcurl's and lots of libcurl3's but all the latter are "libcurl3-abcdefg
-- not plain libcurl3.

I think I need to do an internet installation, but your installation
instructions are nearly useless -- discussing everything but what i need.
Meanwhile, Iceskunk is driving me AND Google nutzo. I think I'm screwn....
