This happened in r314 of our SVN, in a commit of mine, meant to fix #633048. I actually had no intent of doing this change. I guess that it was (for areason I can't even imagine) pending in my local SVN copy...and I couldn't even notice it when doing "svn diff" before committing. And, to make it worse, it seems that the (probably too) short test I did before uploading didn't reveal the problem..:-( Sorry for the trouble to everybody who was annoyed by this issue. I just fixed it in console-common 0.7.87. Thanks, Kel, for your analysis.
