If it's an autogenerated file that cannot be used for configuration, it doesn't belong in /etc, and this would be a bug in cups. If, OTOH, cups honors an admins's changes to the file, then it does belong in /etc and etckeeper should version it. I don't have the file here, so cannot check. -- see shy jo
