Please add a 'status' command to the initscript of miredo.
This command should test if miredo is running.
An easy solution is to use the status_of_proc command from
the lsb-base package.

. /lib/lsb/init-functions

        status)
                status_of_proc -p $PIDFILE $DAEMON $NAME && exit 0 || exit $?
                ;;
