Hi,
initializing a smartcard using

     pkcs15-init -C -p pkcs15+onepin

fails with:

     $ pkcs15-init -C -p pkcs15+onepin
     Using reader with a card: Aladdin eToken PRO 00 00
     Failed to read PIN: Not supported
     Failed to create PKCS #15 meta structure: Generic PKCS#15 initialization
error

The log shows:

     pcscd[10929]: 00000000 dyn_unix.c:81:DYN_GetAddress()
IFDHCreateChannelByName:
/usr/lib/pcsc/drivers/openct-ifd.bundle/Contents/Linux/openct-ifd.so: undefined
symbol: IFDHCreateChann

The symbol in openct-ifd.so is named IFDHCreateChannel (note the missing
el) so this might be the cause for the above error.

I guess the log line has just been cut. It is a warning from pcscd, not the source of your problem.

Your reader "Aladdin eToken PRO 00 00" is correctly detected by pcscd. The problem comes from pkcs15-init.
Maybe your smart card is not supported by OpenSC?
