Hi, To give a conclusion to this: I suppose removing the recommendation from "puredata-core" is enough, and if this is an issue for someone s/he might reopen the bug. It's kinda comprehensible "gem" comes with "puredata" and it's not a big deal, considering Debian recommendation system probably works that way. Feel free to make the changes you feel necessary ;)
