Package: emacs-goodies-el Version: 35.2 Severity: normal File: /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacs-goodies-el/eproject.el
Starting from "emacs -q", M-: (require 'eproject) M-x locate /tmp => error "Buffer '*Locate*' has no file name" where I expected that eproject would not affect an M-x locate listing. I suppose it's because locate-mode is a derivative of dired-mode which may need some special handling bits in eproject. But either way I expect the "maybe" of eproject-maybe-turn-on should mean it ought to do nothing if it finds nothing it can turn on. Perhaps `eproject--buffer-file-name' could use derived-mode-p to detect dired derivatives for its dired special case, which might be good for any other dired derived things. (derived-mode-p is in emacs22 and xemacs21, but not emacs21.) -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-486 Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages emacs-goodies-el depends on: ii bash 4.1-3 ii dpkg 1.15.8.8 ii emacs21 [emacsen] 21.4a+1-5.7 ii emacs22-gtk [emacsen] 22.3+1-1.2 ii emacs23 [emacsen] 23.3+1-1 ii install-info 4.13a.dfsg.1-8 ii xemacs21-mule [emacsen] 21.4.22-3 Versions of packages emacs-goodies-el recommends: ii dict 1.12.0+dfsg-4 ii perl-doc 5.14.2-6 ii wget 1.13.4-1 emacs-goodies-el suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
