Package: procps
Version: 1:3.3.1-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

for system monitoring I usually use 'free -b'. Just recently I found
out that this mode gives me wrong values:

$ /usr/bin/free
             total used free shared buffers cached
Mem:       4145884    1469584    2676300          0     80192     829364
-/+ buffers/cache:     560028    3585856
Swap:      8008396          0    8008396

$ /usr/bin/free -b
             total used free shared buffers cached
Mem:     -49582080 1504980992 -1554563072          0   82116608  849399808
-/+ buffers/cache:  573464576 -623046656
Swap:   -389337088          0 -389337088

kind regards,
frank
