Package: gnome-power-manager Version: 3.2.1-2 I have a gnome-power applet running in my dock (using openbox as my window-manager, fwiw).
If i click on it and choose "Preferences" from the menu, nothing visibly happens. If i attach strace to it (strace -f -p $(pidof gnome-power-manager)), i see it forking a child process, which in turn tries to exec gnome-control-center but fails. If it can't find gnome-control-center, it should at least report the failure to the user so they don't wait indefinitely wondering what's up (and perhaps suggest to install gnome-control-center). Alternately, gnome-power-manager should probably depend on gnome-control-center. Thanks for maintaining gnome-power-manager in debian.
