this e-mail to inform you that the problem mentioned in bug 611470 has
been solved.
Hereunder a small description what I have done:
I have installed wheezy starting from DVD1 (desktop environment )
Configuring Icedove I faced the same problems described in report bug
#611470
Configuring Evolution I faced the same problem.
I have called my internet service provider (TeleTU) explaining the
problem. They told me that MTU must be set to 1432.
In network-manager there is MTU field and it's set to "Automatic" (by
default).
Typing inside MTU filed the value 1432 Icedove and also Evolution are
able to send e-mail w/o error.
It seems that the network-manager in "automatic" is not able to detect
the right MTU's value.
Sorry to have sent a bug report to Icedove.
