Package: python-evolution Version: 2.32.0-4+b2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
import evolution results in evolution.ebook = None. To investigate, I removed the try...execpt around the "import ebook" in /usr/share/pyshared/gtk-2.0/evolution/__init.py, which resulted in: ImportError: No module named bonobo This is fixed by installing python-gnome2. Thus, one fix is to have python-evolution require python-gnome2. However, I do not know in what way evolution depends on bonobo, so perhaps a better fix is to relax this dependency. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.1.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages python-evolution depends on: ii libc6 2.13-24 ii libcamel-1.2-29 3.2.2-1 ii libebook-1.2-12 3.2.2-1 ii libecal-1.2-10 3.2.2-1 ii libedataserver-1.2-15 3.2.2-1 ii libgconf2-4 2.32.4-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.24.0-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.30.2-4 ii libical0 0.44-3 ii libnspr4-0d 4.8.9-1 ii libnss3-1d 3.13.1.with.ckbi.1.88-1 ii libpango1.0-0 1.29.4-2 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.34.3-1 ii libsqlite3-0 3.7.9-2 ii libxml2 2.7.8.dfsg-5.1 ii python 2.7.2-9 ii python-gtk2 2.24.0-2 ii python2.6 2.6.7-4 ii python2.7 2.7.2-8 python-evolution recommends no packages.
