Yes, the old PPD will not work with the new version. If you create a new print queue from scratch, and choose "Lexmark Z43 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.0.0-rc1", can you print a test page successfully? With LogLevel set to debug, what is logged when you try to print the test page?
