Thanks for the patch. I am really impressed that anybody actually
responded. I don't see backporting as being an issue since I was
expecting to put a fair bit of work into configuration management before
the 2.x series made it into unstable.
What puzzles me is that Ubuntu took from experimental rather than
testing.
