Package: cups-pdf Version: 2.6.1-5 Severity: wishlist Hello,
Sorry for the vague title - I am not familiar with any PDF terminology, or how PDFs are generated. When I generate PDFs using CUPS-PDF I am not able to select text when viewing the PDF (with Evince in this case). Contrast that with PDFs that I generate using Iceweasel's "Print to File" option, which not only allow me to select text within Evince, but are viewable from CLI via lesspipe with most of the formatting perfectly intact. I like how CUPS-PDF drops files in ~/PDF without me having to go through the save file motions, so I would love to use it instead of "Print to File". I can provide some sample files if you need, but I'm sure you know what I mean and why this happens even if I don't. ;-) Thanks, George -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages cups-pdf depends on: ii cups 1.5.0-15 ii cups-client 1.5.0-15 ii ghostscript 9.04~dfsg-3 ii libc6 2.13-25 ii libpaper-utils 1.1.24+nmu1 cups-pdf recommends no packages.
